CEO – NRM Solutions & Consultant – International Institute for Sustainable Development
Jonelle René Jones is the CEO of NRM Solutions and a Consultant for the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), based in Canada; adding to her longstanding contribution of over 14 years to the field of environment, development and circular economy.
Academically trained in Trinidad and Tobago and Europe, Jhonelle integrates theory and practice from the developed and developing worlds and applies the best-in-class knowledge and information towards planning for and solving critical issues facing environmental management practitioners and the sustainable development agenda.
A sharp expert in the development and management of technical and capacity development programmes, Jonelle has a firm handle on international policy, in her field.
As a long-serving project and programme manager, Jonelle worked on a vast catalog of regional and international projects, managing activities related to recycling and waste management; e-waste and electronic equipment (WEEE); and hazardous chemicals and pesticides management for several entities, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization; Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations; Basel Convention Regional Centre for the Caribbean; CARICOM; and the Minamata Conventions.
Jonelle also works to implement civil society initiatives in her home Country-Trinidad and Tobago- to support the environment and society pillars of sustainable development.
